Dasatinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). It works by blocking BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase and other abnormal proteins that cause leukaemia cells to grow and divide uncontrollably. By inhibiting these proteins, dasatinib helps stop the multiplication of cancer cells and slow the progression of the disease.
