How Does Gardasil Work?

Gardasil contains virus-like particles (VLPs) that resemble HPV but do not contain live virus or viral DNA. These particles stimulate the immune system to produce protective antibodies. If the vaccinated person is later exposed to HPV, the immune system can recognise and help prevent the infection before it causes disease.

Precautions
